Tengo 68 años y nací en Forno di Zoldo, un pequeño pueblo de los Dolomitas, una zona conocida en el mundo por sus montañas. Siempre he tenido perros: cuando era un niño y acompañaba mi padre a cazar y más tarde, cuando me convertí en cazador, primero con un perro de rastro y luego con un perro de muestra. Al principio, crié Braco Alemán de pelo corto. !Eran los años 70! Mi gran pasión por las razas alemanas me llevó a conocer el Perro de Muestra Alemán de pelo largo y empecé a criar con esta raza. Algunos de mis perros fueron importantes en exposiciones caninas y en pruebas de caza. Fui el primer criador italiano que importó un perro de la raza Perro de Muestra Alemán de pelo largo y tuve el primer campeón italiano de esta raza.
Me he interesado mucho por la raza Perro de Muestra Alemán de pelo cerdoso pero sólo como amante de la raza, no como criador.
Siempre he estudiado los perros de raza pura y empecé a juzgar en el 1979. Soy Juez All Rounder desde 2004. He sido delegado de la ENCI en el CID, miembro de la Comisión del Libro de Origenes italiano, miembro del Comité y de la Comisión de Jueces del ENCI. En la actualidad, formo parte de la Comisión de Jueces de la FCI.
Me gusta escribir artículos sobre perros y he escrito en las revistas sobre perros más prestigiosas de Italia. También he escrito doce libros y he realizado un video.
Me gusta la caza, andar por la montaña y fotografiar la naturaleza. Con mi mujer Manuela, crío Teckel con mucho éxito y muchos campeones.
He juzgado en todos los países de Europa, Inglaterra, Argentina, Rusia, Méjico, Venezuela, Perú, Estados Unidos, Australia, Nueva Zelanda, Filipinas, Sudáfrica, Japón, China, Canadá. He juzgado en las Exposiciones Europeas de Hungría, Croacia, Eslovenia, Holanda, Rumanía, Suiza y República Checa en 2014, Noruega en 2015, Ucrania en 2017, Polonia 2018, Austria en 2019 y Eslovenia en 2020. He juzgado también en las Exposiciones Mundiales de Suecia, Eslovaquia, Dinamarca, Austria, Budapest, Helsinki en 2014, Milán en 2015, Moscú en 2016, Leipzig en 2017 y China en 2019. He sido juez en la Exposición Crufts en 2010 y en el Eukanuba Challenge en Estados Unidos.
Algunos de los resultados que he tenido como criador:
Braco Alemán de pelo corto: de 1970 hasta 1988, tuve numerosos Excelentes y algunos resultados en pruebas de caza. Participé en muchas competiciones alemanas.
Perro de Muestra Alemán de pelo largo: de 1976 hasta 1990, muchos Excelentes en exposiciones y algunos resultados en pruebas de caza, un campeón de Italia y un campeón internacional.
Teckel: desde 1987 hasta ahora, muchos Excelentes en exposiciones, algunos campeones italianos, un campeón internacional, un campeón europeo, en dos ocasiones, Viena y Berna, Reserva de CACIB en una Exposición Mundial, 2 campeonatos de club, Reserva de CACIB en la Exposición Europea de Viena 2005.
Actualmente en mi casa tenemos Shelties, Chihuahua y Caniche Gigante.


I’m 68 years old and I was born in Forno di Zoldo, a little village in the Dolomiti, a fine area known in the world for its mountains. In my life I have always had the dogs as my companion: when I was a child and I joined my father in the hunting and later when I became a hunt, before with a hound, later with a pointing dog. I have breed at first the German shorthaired pointer. It was 70s! My great love for the German breeds did know to me also the German longhaired pointer and I started to breed them; some of them become important in the show competitions and in the hunt. I was the first Italian breeder who imported the German longhaired pointer into Italy and I had the first Champion in Italy of this breed. I have many interests also for the German wirehaired pointer, but only as a lover and not as a breeder. I have always studied the pure dogs and I began to judge in the 1979. Now I am All Rounder since 2004. I was a delegate of the Italian Kennel Club in the CID, (German Wirehaired Pointer dog) and was also a member of the pure breed book of the Italian Kennel Club. I was in the Italian Kennel Club Committee and in the Italian Judge Committee. Now I am in the FCI Judges Committee. I like writing articles regarding the dogs and I have written on the most popular Italian dogs’ magazine and I have also written 12 books and I have made a video. I like the hunt and walking on the mountains and photographing the nature. With my wife Manuela I’m breeding dachshund, with a good success, with many show champions. I have already judged in all Europe countries, England, in Argentina, in Russia, in Mexico, in Venezuela, Peru, USA, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and South Africa, Japan, China. I will judge in Canada in 2018. I have judged in the European Dog Show in Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Romania, Switzerland and Czech Republic in 2014 and in Norway in 2015, in Ukraine 2017, Poland 2018 and I will judge in Austria 2019 and Slovenia 2020. I have judged in the WDS in Sweden, Slovaquia, Denmark, Austria, Budapest, Helsinki in 2014, Milan 2015 and Moscow 2016, in Leipzig 2017 and in China 2019.
I have judged at Cruft on 2010 and Eukanuba Challenge in USA.
